The need and importance of having solid people sills,also known as soft skills cannot be overemphasized. If you aspire to be a leader with an impact, you need a well formed or developed soft skills as much technical skills to succeed. What are these soft skills?
*Ability to relate to others
*strong communication skills
*patience with others
*the ability to trust others
* Knowing how and when to trust others
*active listening skills
So how developed is your soft skills?
The list is inexhaustible. The fact remains that you need to have a thriving relationship with people ,if you must make positive impact as a leader.
People do not only need effective soft skills only in their jobs or businesses, but also in their lives and social circles.
People who have wonderful or developed soft skills are often people who are good team players. They are people who remain calm and effective under pressure, people who act with grace in stressful situations. People who listen well ,admit mistakes and learn from them; respond well to criticism and of course , who show high self and situational awareness. You must not forget that people who have these skills well developed are said to have emotional intelligence and those who lack them are said to have personality issues.
Take note therefore that no one was born with high people skills. The people who have these skills built and developed them by themselves. People skills are not natural, they are built or developed consciously.
